What iGotNext is, who it's for, and how to sign up.
iGotNext is a free web app for managing private pickup basketball leagues. Commissioners create a league, invite their crew, schedule recurring runs, and let players RSVP. When ten players check in courtside, iGotNext auto-generates two skill-balanced teams — no captains, no re-picks.
Yes — completely free for commissioners and all of their players. No cost to you. No credit card required, no ads, no upsells, no premium tier.
We leverage some free services to help us get started and immediately provide value to pick-up basketball commissioners. Also, we're building this as an MVP proof-point for something larger. We don't yet know if we will begin charging for iGotNext.club at some point in the future, but strongly recommend you take advantage now while its $0 cost to you.
Tap Get Started from the homepage and sign in with your Google account. That's it — there's no separate password to manage.
No. iGotNext runs in your phone's browser. You can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience, but there's nothing to install from the App Store or Google Play.
Google OAuth keeps your account secure without us ever seeing or storing a password. We may add other providers later — for now, a Google account is required.
Joining a league, RSVPing, waitlists, and check-in.
You need an invite link from your commissioner — it usually looks like igotnext.club/join/your-league-name. Tap the link, sign in with Google, and you're in. There's no public directory of leagues to browse.
Open the game from your league page and tap I'm in, Maybe, or Out. Your spot is reserved instantly. You can change your RSVP any time before tip-off.
Commissioners can give league members first dibs on a game (e.g., RSVPs open 7 days out for members, 48 hours out for guests). This keeps regulars from getting bumped by occasional players. The exact windows are set by your commissioner per league.
If the game is full when you RSVP, you'll be added to the waitlist. The moment a confirmed player drops, the next person on the waitlist is promoted automatically — you'll see your status update without having to do anything.
Open the game on your phone when you arrive at the gym and tap Check In. Check-in opens about 30 minutes before tip-off so the commissioner can see the live roster fill in.
Teams are generated from the players who actually check in courtside, not just the RSVP list. If you didn't check in, you weren't included in team balancing. Talk to your commissioner if you arrived but missed the check-in tap.
Yes — flip your RSVP to Out from the game page. The next waitlisted player gets promoted immediately. We'd appreciate it if you cancel as early as possible so someone else can take your spot.
Creating leagues, scheduling games, and inviting your crew.
After signing in, tap Start Your League. Give it a name, set your home gym, choose a roster size (typically 10), and configure RSVP windows for members and guests. You'll be live in under a minute.
From your league page, generate an invite link and share it in your group chat or text it directly. Players sign in once with Google and they become guests of your of your league.
Yes. You can set an optional usage cap and an expiry on each invite link. If a link gets shared too widely, you can revoke it instantly and generate a new one.
From your league page, tap New Game. Pick a date, tip-off time, gym, and player cap. The game publishes immediately and RSVPs open according to your league's window rules.
Yes. As commissioner you can check in any RSVP'd player from the check-in page — useful for guests who haven't installed the app yet, or anyone whose phone is dead.
Open your league's player list and assign each player a draft rank. Lower numbers = stronger players (1 is your best). The auto-balancing algorithm uses these ranks to build even teams.
Create one league per ongoing series. If you have two separate weekly runs (e.g., a Tuesday gym and a Saturday gym), make two leagues — that keeps RSVPs, rosters, and skill ranks scoped to each crew.
How auto-generated teams actually work.
iGotNext uses a snake draft across your league's draft order. The 1st pick goes to Team A, 2nd and 3rd to Team B, 4th and 5th to Team A, and so on. This puts your top and bottom picks on the same side, which historically produces the most competitive games.
The moment the 10th player checks in, teams are auto-generated and shown to everyone. If you have 20 players checked in, you'll get a second balanced split for the next ten.
Yes — commissioners can re-roll teams from the check-in page if you want a different split. The algorithm respects skill rank either way; it just produces a fresh permutation.
If someone uncheckes-in before tip-off, the teams regenerate using whoever is currently on the floor. No manual reshuffling needed.
Your data, your control.
Just enough to run the app: your name and email from Google, the leagues you belong to, your RSVPs, and your attendance history. No payment info, no contacts, no location tracking. See our Privacy page for the full breakdown.
Only commissioners and members of leagues you're in. iGotNext is not a social network — there's no public profile, no follower count, and no way for strangers to find you.
Email us at support@igotnext.club from the address on your account and we'll permanently delete your data within 7 days. We're working on a self-serve delete button — until then, email is the fastest way.
Yes — open the league page and tap Leave League. Your past attendance stays on the league's record but you'll no longer get notifications or be able to RSVP.
Common gotchas and quick fixes.
The link may have expired or been revoked. Ask your commissioner to send a fresh one. If you keep hitting the same error with a brand new link, email us with a screenshot.
Check-in opens 30 minutes before tip-off — if you try earlier, the button is disabled. Otherwise, refresh the page (or fully close the browser tab and re-open it) and try again. If your phone's offline, you won't be able to check in until you reconnect.
Make sure you're signed in to the same Google account you used to create the league. If you have multiple Google accounts, signing into the wrong one is the most common cause.
iGotNext doesn't send push notifications yet. RSVP changes and waitlist promotions are visible in-app — we recommend checking the game page the morning of your run.
Email support@igotnext.club with a screenshot, the URL of the page you're on, and what you were trying to do. We respond to every report.
