The Commissioner's Dilemma

Running a league shouldn't feel like a second job

You shouldn't need a spreadsheet, three group chats, and a clipboard just to run Tuesday night hoops. iGotNext replaces the chaos with one clean workflow.

League Commissioners Without iGotNext

  • Commissioner wastes valuable minutes matching teams
  • Poor RSVP reconciliation over multiple chat groups
  • Manual waitlist management and communication
  • 18 guys show up for a 10-man run
  • Commissioners spend more time managing than playing

League Commissioners With iGotNext

  • Skill & Height-balanced teams generated in one tap (with manual overrides)
  • One RSVP link. Players RSVP themselves
  • Automatic waitlist bump-ups with hard player caps
  • Every player and attendance tracked
  • Commissioners play more than managing

Everything you need

Built for the way pickup actually works

Every feature earned its spot by solving a real headache on the court.

Private by default

Invite-only leagues. Share one link — only your crew gets in. Revoke access anytime.

RSVPs + waitlists

Players claim their spot. Overflow rolls into a waitlist that auto-promotes when someone drops.

Skill + height balanced teams

Rank players and log their heights. On check-in, we try every possible 5v5 split and pick the one that's most balanced on both — so the games actually play competitive.

Courtside check-in

Players check in from their phone when they arrive. You see the roster fill in real time.

RSVP windows

Give members first dibs and open to guests later. Configure how early each tier can RSVP.

Season-long tracking

Attendance history, player rosters, and game logs. Know who shows up and who just talks.

How it works

Up and running in under 5 minutes

01

Create your league

Name it, set your gym schedule, pick your roster size. That's it — your league is live.

02

Invite your players

Share the invite link in your group chat. Players sign up once and they're in forever.

03

Run the game

Schedule a run, let RSVPs roll in, and show up to auto-balanced teams ready to hoop.

"

Our Tuesday run used to be a disaster — guys showing up unannounced, teams picked off vibes. Now the schedule runs itself and the games are genuinely competitive.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

Is iGotNext free to use?

Yes — there's a free plan for commissioners and all of their players. No credit card required and no ads. See our pricing page for the free plan limits and Pro features.

Who is iGotNext built for?

Commissioners running recurring pickup basketball leagues — weekly gym runs, office leagues, and friend-group hoops. iGotNext is not a public marketplace; players only join through a commissioner's invite link.

How does skill-balanced team matchmaking work?

Rank your players by skill and log their heights once. When 10 players check in, iGotNext enumerates all 252 possible 5-on-5 splits and picks the one that's most balanced on skill and height simultaneously. Commissioners can tune the skill vs. height weighting per league (defaults are 70 skill / 30 height). No captains, no re-picks.

Can I schedule a recurring weekly or monthly run?

Yes. When you create a game, pick Weekly or Monthly and a 'Repeat until' date. iGotNext creates every game in the series at once — same title, location, time-of-day, roster cap, and RSVP settings — and you're auto-RSVP'd to all of them. Any single game can still be edited or cancelled without touching the rest of the series.

What happens if more players RSVP than spots in a game?

Overflow players roll onto an automatic waitlist. When someone drops out, the top player on the waitlist is promoted instantly, so your roster always stays full.

Can I give members first dibs on RSVPs before guests?

Yes. Each league has configurable RSVP windows — 'Members can RSVP N days before game time' and 'Guests can RSVP N hours before game time'. Guests can also be restricted to only RSVP when the game isn't already full. Windows can be set per league or overridden per game.

How does courtside check-in work?

On game day, open the check-in screen on any phone or tablet. Tap each player as they arrive — once 10 players are checked in, iGotNext generates balanced teams automatically. The screen supports up to 2 courts (20 players) and shows a Team Balance Score plus average height per side so you can see exactly how even the split is.

Can strangers join my league?

No. Leagues are private by default — only people with your invite link can see or join, and you can revoke that link at any time. You can also cap the number of uses or set an expiration date on any invite link.

Do my players need to create an account?

Yes. Players sign in once with Google, then they can RSVP for any game in any league they belong to. There's no separate password to remember.

What devices does iGotNext run on?

iGotNext is a web app that works on any modern browser — iOS, Android, Mac, or Windows. There's nothing to install. Check-in is designed to work great from a phone at the gym.

Your league, your rules
